Farkas chose to set the tale in modern times and use hip hop music and dance; she added two narrator-storyteller-rappers who talk directly to the audience, eliminated the huntsman with murderous intent and ended it all with a twist—that will not be revealed here.
The Gallaudet Dance Company (GDC) is collaborating with VF Dance and Fitness, a Maryland-based modern dance troupe, for the 2013-2014 academic year. Together, they will create a new dance piece for their respective spring concerts, with communication as the major theme.

BlackRock Center for the Arts welcomes the local professional dance company VF Dance Theater at 8 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday.
